Maria-Flora Smoller was raised in both New York and Florida. At a young age she lived and traveled to Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Virginia, Massachusetts , Bahamas, Bermuda and Maui . Spending time in these beautiful places Maria-Flora was motivated to volunteer with local organizations that promoted environmental activism and healthy living. In college she majored in Human Development with emphasis on Anti-bias Education.
Her early career began as a preschool teacher and later a Youth Education Developer working closely with Preschool and Elementary age children putting programs in place that facilitated peaceful conflict resolution. Maria-Flora and her husband Tony have 5 beautiful children. These days her volunteer time revolves around their schools and local environmental charities normally with them in tow. The Smoller family has a deep love for the ocean and its inhabitants and together are active in improving its fragile condition. Maria-Flora, or sometimes better known as "Monkey" presently supports NRDC, Oceana, Charity Water, The Boys and Girls Club of America, No on LNG/BPT, The Lyon Herron Fund, Mending Children International, and the Malibu High School Athletics Booster Club.
It is her goal to make a difference in the world's health and by doing so influencing her children to be conscious and accountable for their earth's future. It is sincerely her privilege to be involved with an incredible company like ShopToEarth and she is honored to be on the STEFoundation board.
