

STE Foundation will consider requests from charitable organizations that meet the following criteria:
Donations made to a charity must benefit the environment.
Donations made to a charity must not be used for administrative or support functions.
STE Foundation considers every application to be worthwhile, yet our main focus is granting to environmental non-profits.
STE Foundation will give every consideration to each application received but reserves the right to earmark funding for specific budgetary items to declines funding for budgetary items which are not consistent with our grant guidelines. STE Foundation does not make grants for the following:
STE Foundation will fund as many projects as its annual resources allow. Applications are accepted throughout the calendar year with the final deadline of December 31. All applications will be reviewed and a determination will be made no later than April 30 of the following year. To be considered for a contribution from the STE Foundation, an organization must be certified as tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All applications must be in writing. Any materials submitted with proposals will be retained by the STE Foundation. Included in the proposal should be the following:
A brief description of the organization's purpose, objectives and programs plus a detailed description of the project and the amount of support being requested. Please include the specific impact the project intends to make and any relevant deadlines.
Starting date for the project.
A copy of the Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) determination letter designating the organization as a non-profit, tax exempt public charity.
A list of the current Board of Directors and each director's business affiliation.
A copy of the current year's operating budget and a line item budget for the project.
An annual report or financial statement (if available).
